Crushed Glass

BLACK BEAUTY® GLASS abrasives are high quality, chemically inert, environmentally friendly and contain less than 1% free silica. As a blasting media, recycled crushed glass is a highly efficient material for many applications. Our products are used by customers in removal of surface coatings such as rust, paint and scale from a variety of substrates, especially stainless steel, aluminum, concrete, bricks and wood.

Grades

EXTRA FINE
A very finely sized product used to clean surfaces and create a smooth finish - automotive, fiberglass, hobby and soda blast alternative. Minimum suggested nozzle size of 1/8" and under standard blasting conditions will achieve a 0.5-1.5 Mil profile.

FINE
Used to clean surfaces and create a smooth finish - automotive, fiberglass, hobby and soda blast alternative. Minimum suggested nozzle size of 3/16" and under standard blasting conditions will achieve a 1.5-3.0 Mil profile.

MEDIUM/FINE
Used for industrial applications, bridges, tanks, steel construction and fabrication where a reduced profile is desired. Minimum suggested nozzle size of 1/4" and under standard blasting conditions will achieve a 2.0-3.5 Mil profile.

MEDIUM
Use medium for industrial applications, bridges, tanks, steel construction and fabrication. Minimum suggested nozzle size of 1/4" and under standard blasting conditions will achieve a 2.8-4.0 Mil profile.
